Butterfly in H3.

I know you can't butterfly with b,x,b....but in halo 2 there is an easy way to butterfly, you just press y,b,y,b....and since all that really happens is you switch your weapon and lunge will it be possible to still use it in Halo 3?

Or use the method people used in the Beta. Shoot some ammo out of your gun, don't reload, and tap B, RB, B, RB (basically the same as H2: Melee, reload, melee, reload).

maybe i didn't do it right but when i tried it, it actually hit the person and didnt cancel...and im sure bungie took it out since those kinda things lead to BxR and double shot...

But when you do b,y at the same time it switches your weapon so you never end up hitting the person, unless they made the hitting time faster than it might actually work....(I hope)

It does work in H3. I found that it worked best when using the spiker.

I'm just saying it will be much easier to get up on top of that thing on valhalla and other things, not for cheating like a gay bxr.

glitching isnt supposed to be easy....

...think about it...you are trying to get on top of a monstrous tower...its going to be hard

nah nah. not sayin' nothin' against ya, just when you have a glitch like this in the game, especially one that people can learn after about 20 minutes of practise and then can perform it like a natural reflex, is just the foundation of weapon glitches. Weapon glitches ruin the game. unfortunaley this is the case-- i too love getting up on high towers (although I was never very good at it) but it'd take more skill, to launch up on one, rather than use something like bxb, plus in MM, no one has time to perform launches so there can be no disadvantage in games in MM...and if a team has time to launch up, well then it's the other teams fault for sucking so bad and they deserve to have a high disadvantage :p

If you are talking about the "butterfly" technique, then I have to ask...

How would that kill Halo 3?

To butterfly, the second person has to be on the other team, so that counts MM out. I don't see the problem...

If you said it because of "button combos" and you are afraid it will lead to BxR, RRX and the other variants, then I can understand. I have my own feelings about the situation, but at least your post would make more sense this way.

(PS. Superbounces ruined H2 more than any number of "button combos")
