I have vista and don't want to use this code because I'm getting 7 soon.

This code is sticker-ed on the bottom of my school laptop. They put Windows XP on the computer instead though.

SO. I would post the code here, but I don't think that is a good Idea. So if you want it pm me.

Hmmm, I'm not sure what the laws are on relinquishing use of/transferring a license key. As long as it's used once, and given away once, and you are indeed not using it anymore, I have no issue with it.

I haven't used it. It was on a laptop that wasn't using Vista. Unless vista was installed first with the code used, then uninstalled and xp was installed instead. The code is unused.

That's definitely not allowed.

Good luck, that key is most likely bound to the hardware running on the laptop. You would need an OEM CD from the manufacturer to install it.
