Absolutely correct, in fact, that's how this was discovered by accident. I was ramming back and forth, trying to move the 2 stacked boxes, when I went through the door. There's a lot of combinations to try.

I wonder what actually causes it, if you have to hit the wall with a very particular amount of force or maybe just a special angle or something. The same thing with the weak points, I wonder if they're actually necessary, and what makes them give the appearance of you sinking through somewhat.

I think it is just a result of doing the same process over and over again. like when you continuously jump eventially you will go up and not come down ( just be staying in mid air )

Well, I noted earlier that I was working on getting Sarge out of the Armory. I also noted that I tried to keep Sarge from entering the lift but he just teleported after a bit.

So I decided to try and use that teleportation to my benefit. So I moved a box inside the lift (parallel to the door) before he could port, my logic was that he would port and spawn on top of a box. That would give me a chance to launch him, much the same as an MC pressure launch. I moved a box in as planned, then set up another box for the launch and I figured all I had to do was go in the lift and slide Sarge over the box that's further inside and onto the launch box.

When Sarge ported he just spawned next to the inside box. Not to be foiled yet again I moved two boxes inside (parallel to the door), figuring he would have to wind up on top of one box. Damned if he didn't spread the two inner boxes apart when he appeared inside the lift.

So, disenchanted, I'm now trying to get him squeezed to the back of the lift with two boxes in front of him and a third box for the pressure launch. Nobody said it would be easy.

Sorry, I forget that not everyone knows. He's my grandson (15 yrs. old), although he is more mature than I am. Our relationship is more like we're brothers but, since his father was/is not around, I raised him like a son and a friend. So you were right on all counts except the wife thing, lol.

You said that you can glitch through boxes, walls, and doors by just walking into them, right? Is it possible to do the same with AI? Either you push them or you push an object against them, and maybe they will fall through that fixed region.

A bit off topic (well not really) but is this possible in multiplayer? I know a few areas and grates that I could possibly clip through now with this method. But, I'm afraid that these objects dont have the same qualitites or effects like they do in campaign, so, if someone wants to give it a shot... I personally can't right now since my cuz has my 360, so ya.

Lol, this is why the people of H1 and H2 have been so successful, good community ideas. This is why I'm posting my funky vids.

I'll try pounding into Sarge when I get my glitchy 360 back. I can see it now, Sarge standing outside looking doofy, staring back inside and saying something like 'Don't make me take off my belt'.

MP should work the same as CMP but I don't know what has been or needs to be done.

Correct me if you've found me to be wrong, but I would think you would need an actual wall for this to work, or at least something solidly "there" if you get my meaning. I don't think the game physics would view a marine the same way as a wall.

And yes, this should work in mp. I can't think of any areas off the top of my head, but I suppose a quick look through the challenge thread might yield some results.

Edit: Correction, the unexplored places sticky is good. There was a few in there that might be possibilities. The Lockout green rooms maybe?

Yeah you wouldn't want to bang Sarge directly, it would look like a gay porno film, heh heh. I took his suggestion to mean keep banging Sarge with the boxes to see if the window gives way.

After I made the film I tried again but I slid in 2 of those standing trays that you can slide around. The boxes inside the lift started disappearing so maybe if I put one all the way against the back window, next to Sarge, it will help glitch him. Never know.

This is actually caused by the game resetting the map. If the map is resetted while you are in mid jump, you will stay so and are able to jump again.

This also makes me think of Swordflying through glass, this is actually quite the same procedure.
Because this works quite well on PAL, maybe I should try.
Scurty, you have an NTSC machine. Have you ever been able to SF through glass with it? Or has anyone else with a NTSC machine done it?

haha, I see what you are trying Nope, that ceiling is too low. I think you can get in the grates via the recharge thingie. One time I got slighlty pushed under the ground.
I watched your vid with the boxes and it looks like it could work: When I got partly through the floor I used this setup:
1) Stay inside the recharger and look at guns (just for the directions.)
2) Get out of the recharge by walking backwards. Then move about 2,5 meters to the left and move half a meter forward
3) You should be at the left of the recharger looking through the elevator door.
4) eventually move left or right so you can hit the switch.
5) Tbag the floor while you get warped to the teleporter
6) I once got partly in the floor. Some-one somewhere once said he died using this method and got in the area..
7) eventually place a box near the genarator so you get warped to the recharger but the box stops you partly.
8) what about this: Place a box near the recharger and another one ontop of it. Let the box ontop of it stick out a bit to the left, so there is a little area under it. Press the charger and you get warped to it. Maybe you get stuck under the overhanging box and pushed down? I think it could be possible.

Also: I just saw your cloning/ghosting method.I have no idea what happened xD Epic stuff! Think about the possibilities... Green door... other stuff

sounds good, I recommend standing on the single layer grate, it is just one layer between you and the area, it must be possible. Also: Do you think the ghosting works without a box or against a regular wall? Maybe you can explore the door leading to the missile room (usual gameplay, past the engine room) unde rthe ground. Green door could be possible aswell

I have a original xbox with an original Thomson drive. The thing still works, and I've seen it do some crazy stuff. I know I've been able to SF through the window in The Arbiter, but it's not an easy thing to do.

Yeah, I've heard several other players say they've gotten through glass but I never could pull it off.
