Windows Movie Maker - 12-09-2010 , 05:27 PM

I can't afford Vegas so.....

In all the time I've downloaded Amazon MP3's and put them in WMM they've always played fine. However, the last 2 songs would not load. All the old songs still load in WMM and the 2 songs in question play just fine using Windows Media Player 11 so the files are not corrupt. I redowned WMP11 just to be safe but there was no difference.

Is there some new copyright shiz going on?

Also, nottaj (long time ago) gave me a link to a great audio converter but it was on a HDD that was lost. Any suggestions on a great (free) converter?

I bought dBPowerAmp and it has treated me well. It does multi-threaded conversions in pretty much any music format I might ever encounter.

Also, whenever I used WMV, it would always desynchronize the audio/video track when it compiled the end video. Now having to separately install it into Windows, if also comes loaded with bloatware such as photo album and whatnot.

ffmpeg. It's not just for video, I use it for converting audio all the time, it does a pretty decent job. SUPER is good too though.

Super is only good if you buy it.

Anyone know why WMM suddenly rejects amazon MP3's? Even though the trial version of Super is unusable, it converted the MP3 from amazon into another MP3 and WMM took it in. Damnedest thing

I wish I could find the link nottaj gave me, that converter was tops.

?

SUPER is totally free. It's merely a GUI for ffmpeg and several other free codec libraries. I've never had any problems with it.

They make their money by forcing people to hop through multiple ad-filled links to get to the download. That's it.

The second link clearly states:

"SUPER is a FREEWARE"

EDIT: You may not actually have SUPER. I just found out that they REALLY force you to jump through all the links. Keep going though the site starting here, until you find the link stating "Download SUPER setup file". (It will be on the third page.)

EDIT 2: It looks like this...

Damn, I clicked on your link and found foxtab. However, it worked for my conversion but Super looks better. I'll give Super another try tomorrow but every time I think I'm clicking for Super it's something else. It's like a scavenger hunt.

Edit: Alright, I finally found it. Thanks pal.

You're welcome.

If only TMPGEnc was also free...
