Legendary Helmet Mod TUT By -SpartanMyAzz-
Make sure you tell people about my thread ;) As a lot of you have seen in my past post, I took apart my legendary helmet in order for me to be able to wear it. Well I have finished my helmet, and I present to you a Tutorial for all of those wishing to do this as well. *NOTE* after it’s all done you will not be able to return it to its original state, so don’t froodlenutzkie up lol. These are the tools needed: ![]() Step 1 (disassembly) Start with these screws shown: ![]() Next take these off: ![]() they will pop off, but u gotta be tough with them. (just don’t be 2 tough ;) ) Next: ![]() Next: ![]() ![]() Next pop these out from the bottom: ![]() After that there are some nasty screws on the sides that are really hard to get to. Use the long thin wrenches to get at them and get them off. (if you don’t have them u can always break them off because ur gonna have to cut them off later anyways. Just be careful) Once those 4 (2 on each side) are taken care of you will need to take apart the front. (Don’t forget there are also 2 screws near the back on the sides) This is how the face is put together: ![]() Purple goes to yellow, green goes to red, and the orange are the bisonskie screws on the inside that you have to use the long wrenches for. You need to start with the black thing in the green circle and simply pop it off. (no screws for that one. That will allow you to access the other front screws. After you are all done you should have this. ![]() Part 2 (Reconstruction) *NOTE*for this section it is nice to have a friend to help hold the pieces. Tools needed: ![]() Basicly for this part you just put all the pieces back together 1 at a time with super glue and epoxy. Put the pieces to gather and apply super glue (that will hold it in place temporally). Then apply the epoxy as shown in the picture below. Just follow the directions on the box and everything should go all right. *NOTE* you must be 18 years or older in order to buy epoxy After it is all put back together you have to go in and grind all the little things that poke out down. Next you can install the light like I did. Just drill a hole and put in a little LED flashlight. Once that’s done go grab your self a motor cycle visor (I used this kind http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HJC-H...spagenameZWDVW ), trim it down, pop it in, and attach it. Then add foam padding and off you go :D! HOPE THIS HELPS! ![]() |

Holy schlapskie... even the lights work...
Well, one of them. Now all you really need is to find the rest of the suit, customize a paintball gun or something to look like a BR or AR, then trick out a Jeep Hurricane to look more like a warthog. (even though it's pretty close already http://www.jeep.com/autoshow/hurricane/gallery.html) |

I would do this, but I am pretty sure that helmet wouldn't fit my big ol' head.

If you can't trick out a jeep, buy a four wheeler and make a mongoose.

Nice work! If I had 2 helmets I'd try this(I really want to keep the one I have intact the way it is).
