did Bungie drop the Mythic Map Pack release date? Or am I missing something?

I ask mostly because I'm surprised I didn't find a post about it here. But in Bungie's recent weekly update they put a P.S. at the bottom (like ya do) with a date:

P.S. 04/09/09

This following a wall of text talking about, among other things, the release date for Halo 3: ODST and the Mythic Map Pack. ODST ain't coming out that soon, so I'm thinking this is the date of the Mythic Map Pack...

OR, I'm missing something important and feel completely stupid.

Most likely the release date of the Mythic Map Pack

[Doubtful]

Could be 3 things:

1. Most likely the date that the Mythic Map Pack will hit the Xbox 360 Marketplace

2. The release date of Halo 3: ODST (DD/MM/YY) (9-4-09) although highly unlikely.

3. Some information about Bungies side project that they've hinted at in the past.


I'm still sticking with the Mythic Maps though.

April 9th is a thursday, games and addons are rarely released on days other than tuesdays and fridays, though it's a little more lax for game content.

HOWEVER, 9/4/09 is a friday, the day that games are usually released on, SO...that's possible.

Well let's see: I'll go out on a limb and say that ODST is DEFINITELY NOT coming out next month. They have consistently said "Fall 2009". SEPTEMBER 4th does sound reasonable for this but why give a European date for an American release?

And why would the Mythic maps be free? Honestly! If anything, we'll see the Legendary maps free in the next few weeks or so. Anyway, I'm positive this is the date of the Mythic release.

I'm not worked up... I think I got a bit ahead of myself though. Sorry. I read Doubtful's post last and started to reply - but like he said: "highly unlikely"

you could even say it's doubtful...

I do hope that Bungie will release even the faintest of details about Halo: Chronicles (the Peter Jackson project) really soon.
