New? Read here. Jumping Social / Q&A -

Hello and welcome all, to THE JUMPING SOCIAL This thread has been a long time coming, and while not exactly groundbreaking, should clear up a lot of pointless threads that have been posted lately. For those confused, let me go into greater detail. What this IS A place for you new jumpers to introduce yourself and meet up with new jumping friends. A place to post things related to jumping that don't exactly warrant their own thread. A place to ask questions, whether they be about what jumps are new or old, who was in what video, or anything regarding jumping. What this IS NOT The Yap and Blabber. Don't post just anything in this thread, it must be related to jumping. A place to hold arguments. Please, be considerate of the thread rules and take it to PM's. Additional Rules Before you ask a question, make sure it isn't answered in the post below. Do not put down any other member in any way. These are my only rules to follow. They're simple, and if you break them, you will be dealt with accordingly. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- New to the trick jumping forum? Please read below. Looking for a certain trick jumping video? Try looking in the archive. Don't know what the jumping games or the rules for them are? Follow me. Trying to find the superbouncing forum? Over here. Need anything else? Send me a PM.

Frequently Asked Questions v3 -------------------- Q - How can I learn how to jump? A - I suggest posting your gamertag in this thread, asking for people to add you, and get a few people to show you the ropes. On top of all that, just practice. -------------------- Q - How do you perform a save? A - Kneecap a ledge. When you start slipping off, hold forward and jump. If done right, you will land on the ledge you saved off of. -------------------- Q - What exactly is a kneecap? A - Let's say you're attempting a long jump. You get so close that you're standing on the ledge for a brief time, but still slipping off. This would be called kneecapping something. -------------------- Q - How do I perform [insert jump type here]? A - Just ask for a tutorial for that specific type of jump. Our community has made loads of them, and we'll be happy to provide you with what you need. This way is easier than going through and listing all of the tutorials we've made. --------------------

Are you talking about a forge made map variant, or an original map?

Either. Probably Forge though.

I'll try and dig up some maps for you.
Fios' map 'King O Ghost' is pretty good for ghosts, but i'll try and find you an edge ghosting map. 'King O Ghost' can be found on Fios' fileshare. |

Rules changed. This is now purely an introduction/meet-up/Q&A thread. It seems most people agree that simple discussions and whatnot should remain in their own thread. I understand, I just thought it would be easier and more organized to have them in this thread.

and OwnedTom, various pacman maps tend to have a lot of ghosts/edge ghosts on them, just load them up by yourself and practice. When you do the ghosts, do you crouch or not? |

I tend to crouch for most regular ghosts, although it isn't really needed, as for most edge ghosts, I don't crouch at all.

My advice would just be try a few various techniques mentioned previously in this thread and stick with whatever feels best to you if you need help with ghosts Tom. Try a few different maps, and just keep practicing. @Clickitytrick: Oh God not this again. |

I said most, not all, and I said that's what I do, not that's what he should do.
Personally I find it easier, but I suppose it's whatever he finds easiest that counts. |

GT: Camping Spot As for a jump team, it really depends on how good you are. Some of the newer teams are BackToBasiKs, but they're full as it is, Jump Fuze, Jump Nitro, Jump Unlimited and Team Uprising. As I said though, it depends on how good you are. |
