Here's a list of some of my favorite H1 tricks. Some of these might not be that hard to do, but at the time no one even had an idea of how to complete them. Similarly launching on top of CS Mac Gun might not be that hard, but at the time no one had a clue on how to do it (I think this method was just as impressive BTW).

I never said that they weren't insane or crazy. All I'm saying is that in my opinion, the tricks that have been done in Halo 1 have blown my mind more than the ones in Halo 2. To each his own I suppose, I think we should end this. I wanted us to work together, not tear each other apart.

Honestly my favorite trick in Halo 2 would have to be this. I think this one actually tops almost all of the ones up there. <3 Grumpy.

Lone Starr posted when I was writing...

If anybody says H2 tricking requires less patience than Halo 1 tricking, he has never really tricked Halo 2.
I refer to Grumpy's Scarab Gun video. Probably any of you watched it, but have you ever worked with that stuff yourself? If not, you don't know what's really behind it, this thing is 100 times more complex than shown in the video. Years of experimentation and being set back went into this. I don't say nothing compares to it, it's just to say that things like this not only happen in H1.

All in all it's just a matter of opinion. I personally love H1 tricking, I just love H2 tricking a bit more because I'm more into it. If I were more into Halo 1, I would probably say that H2 is not that great. At both Games happened insane things, and nothing gets worse or better if you compare which is more insane. You can talk about personal preferences but this can't just really be seen in an objective way.
We are still HIH, and we are all crazy enough to do a huge, time consuming setup just to get a Hog to a nice place. We should not argue which way of doing so is better.

Lets all kiss and make up, LS is my friend and that is how it is. Now, back to T2T.

QFT... Well said.

I have to admit that I hadn't put that much thought or time into this post. To be fair I was talking out of complete bias. Yes, I like tricking in Halo 1 more, but I suppose Halo 2 is equally as difficult in reality. This topic is reminding me of the movie Jet Li's Fearless. xD

PS: On a completely different note, I'm going to try to get my capture equipment set up next weekend. I was going to do it this weekend, but there were things going on. Hopefully I will have time to do a trick I've been wanting to do for a very long time. =D

No it's not T2T... Sorry to disappoint.

Its definitely a matter of opinion, not objective fact (at least for us).

I personally prefer Halo 1, but then again: I cannot say I have done any halo 2 or halo 3 tricks, so I cannot make any statement based off of experience in all of the fields.

However: I do think that a lot of stuff in Halo 1 is un-popularized and misunderstood because of the extremely small fan-base. So pity us poor Halo 1 trickers. =[

There was a forum announcement last night stating all posts over the last 48 hours were deleted due to some database mess-up.

Sniper and I have been talking about Object Overloads recently(did my first two yesterday. I feel so proud of myself). We then saw that epic ShwartZ launch, and both got the same idea: Has anyone tried doing a T2T launch with a Banshee? And ObO would be ideal after you've collected the proper grenades, which might...complicate things a bit.

I've thought about it, the banshee has some pretty weird physics though. It might be a good idea to try figuring out a method to launch horizontally using the banshee.

We know its possible with a hog, and most likely easier with a hog, why even bother with something else?

It might be more efficient with a banshee. Honestly I don't mind using the hog, it makes setup a hell of a lot easier.

It doesn't matter what vehicle you use, you're still faced with the same problems associated with the launch itself. Besides, you'd waste grenades getting the banshee on the tower anyway.

I agree. Fixious and I were just tossing the idea around. The one tiny advantage a banshee might offer would be on the second tower, if you're using a hog for a backstop. A banshee makes a bigger (taller) target if your landing approach is otherwise a near-miss. A very near-miss.

But it probably doesn't justify the extra grenades it would eat up.
