Filling our drawers with happiness
The latest Bungie Weekly Update went live last night, and amidst all the other news is a brief mention of a new 'feature' that Frankie seems to think is something that will be greatly enjoyed for years. The one line of interest is where he says that the new feature "
will make the folks at HighImpactHalo fill their drawers". Hmmm...now he's got me all hot and bothered. It's not that I'm against filling my drawers or anything - I'm cool with that. It's just that filling your drawers really has to be
worth it. Here's hoping this feature is worth the cleanup. :)
UPDATE: It appears that Frankie
has chimed in to say that this new feature is NOT video related. That being the case, I'm really not sure what it could be, but it's still interesting to speculate.

I like the chain reaction 'nades, I've wanted that in MP forever. :(
Like being able to shoot a 'nade and it explodes, Useful if someone walks by a 'nade on the ground and you have a BR/AR/Sniper/w/e
Just some thoughts...or if you can see the 'nades on their side...haha.
My money is on they will be putting in a 'remove HUD' option. That little tip about the old pistol being removed and people whining made me think back to old RvB episodes, and how the filmed with the pistol equipped. Combo that with HIH, the awesome trick VIDEO site we are, and bang, instant thoguht process.
i bet it is some kind of record game option, so instead of using a capture card, we could just use that feature to capture glitches.

There is a record option in Halo3. It records input and data rather than film. As I heard it awhile back - while it plays you can have a first person view, and third-person view, or a free roaming view.
I'm thinkin' it may just be the FINAL version of that feature. Perhaps with a few options we could never dream of... but let's try anyway ;)
I love the "grenades of player's side". Ka-ching, Bang, BOOM! awesome.
That would be amazing, recording constantly, and then being able to play back whatever you wanted to.

i'm just going to wipe with my Halo 3 receipt, then frame it in my room. is that weird?
in-game recorder would be saweet, and as I think about it, it makes a lot more sense. would make MLG tournies and the like very easy/more appealing, as you could probably do a spectator mode thing like CS, or any other FPS out there really. as for HIH, well...duh.
Personally, i hope it is that all of us get a copy of the halo 3 beta.
I wonder if the xbox 360 can stream the playback of a recorded Halo 3 match to a connected PC. That whould definetly make us all happier.
Does it have something to do with the Humpday new information? The part where they mention reducing gravity to jump higher on a rockets match?
That filled my drawers with happiness today! It brought me back to HIH for the first time in about 2 years.
A few people have pointed out to me a small tidbit of the
latest Bungie Humpday Challenge in which it's said that gravity can now be set just like any other game setting.
If this is what Frankie was talking about, I'm sure some will enjoy it, but I'll be quite disappointed. :)
