I wanted to give a fast thanks to the News Council and the Archive Team for all their hard work in recent weeks. Take a look at the frontpage, and you'll see that HIH has been producing loads of quality content (I've been saying that for some time now), but until recently, it remained largely hidden and hard to find. The New Council has really stepped up and helped to get this content to you guys in a quick and readable manner. The work of the Archive Team speaks for itself. Just take a look at what they've produced. To both of these groups, and all the members that have been helping them - THANK YOU. You folks make HIH what it is.
Lastly, the guys that have been here the longest, and have toiled the hardest, often get the very least amount of thanks. I think we've got the best admins and moderators that you can find amongst the lollerwebz. It's not just that they're good, dedicated people - but they hang around for the long haul, and I really appreciate that. The newest crop of recruits are the monitors, a couple of which have already been made moderators, and these guys are doing great work as well.
What can I say - we've got some quality people around here. :)
i love how much you show your appreciation to the guys that you've selected to help you. no one can say it's a thankless jog when thanks are so abundant. thank
you for making such an awesome site and thanks to all the other staff as well. it feels like a very tight-knit, family-esque group here, and that's why i come back
every day. and even though there's lots of aspects to the forums to enjoy, we're essentially all like minded in that we're all about finding new ways to enjoy two (soon to be three) of the greatest games ever made. and no matter which tricking style you're into, we can all appreciate a well made vid with excellently executed tricks/jumps/launches/whatever and share in the spirit of tricking that transcends the formal boundaries of the forum's subdivisions. even though we may categorize what we produce, it all comes down to the same question - "what can i do with this game that was never intended?" and it's cool to think that we're a minority among halo players even with all the members that hih has. it really makes you feel like part of a community here. i've met some really cool people, witnessed insane creativity and talent as well as dedication to this site, shared in brainstorming over projects, and just really enjoyed myself over the past two years that i've been coming here. so thanks to
all the staff, but also everyone else as well. overall, we have a real cool bunch of guys (and gals?) here and i wouldn't have it any other way. we're all a great team here. go team hih!
