Site upgrades and icon contest
We finally did some upgrades around here... while you probably won't notice much of a difference, besides the reCaptcha that is, we have more ogres working in the back. We'll be introducing a couple of new things for you in the very near future, but for now go post something on your friends profile page.

We're also having an icon contest for the thread icons. The winner will get a custom avatar and title. Head over here to partake or learn more.

Special Note:
It appears some people are having trouble posting. If you are one of these unfortunate victims, just clear your cache and your problem should be fixed.

Yeah I have noticed some things, like the new weird grayish color on the reply box as well as other things. Other than that, it looks pretty good. I noticed the tags thing at bottom of the thread. I'm sure that will make searches easier. :cool:

EDIT: I just noticed that the profile view is all weird now lawl. I guess it just needs getting used to. :p

What is "reCaptcha", for those who don't know? Is that the little arrow thing that when you quote someone you can see which post they are quoting?

Edit: Ah ha, nice changes to the profile page. Looks a lot like the recent changes to Facebook.....hmmmmmm

A captcha is a series of random number and letters you have to type before you can register. At least, thats why I think it is...

A captcha is the jumbled-up, hard to read mess of letters that you're supposed to copy when you sign up. It's to prevent botting - mostly spamming here. I'm guessing they put another one in somewhere.
Very nice changes. I haven't been able to get on this site very often for months now, for various reasons, but I love it, and I definitely love the changes you put in here. I especially like the idea of tags, and the online status.
